The Definition of Sentence

A sentence is an organized series of words that allows you to make a statement, ask a question, express a thought, offers an opinion, and so on. A sentence is organized in relation to what you intend to say and how are going to say it. Sentence has two basic parts: a subject and a predicate. The subject is the part of the sentence that denotes the doer of an action or what the sentence is about. Predicate is the part of a sentence that provides information about the subject. Furthermore, Oshima and Hoque (1999:155) state that a sentence is a group of words that use to communicate the ideas. Every sentence is formed from one or more clauses and expresses a complete thought.

The Definition of Thesis

According to  Chandrasekhar (2002) a thesis is a written record of the work that has been undertaken by a candidate. It constitutes objective evidence of the author’s knowledge and capabilities in the field of interest and is therefore a fair means to gauge them. Although thesis writing may be viewed as an unpleasant obligation on the road to a degree, the discipline it induces may have lifelong benefits. Most of all, a thesis is an attempt to communicate. Science begins with curiosity, follows on with experiment and analysis, and leads to findings which are then shared with the larger community of scientists and perhaps even the public. The thesis is therefore not merely a record of technical work, but is also an attempt to communicate it to a larger audience.
Furthermore, Chowdhury (2007) a thesis consists of an argument or a series of arguments combined with the description and discussion of research you have undertaken. thesis is a document submitted in support of candidature for an academic degree or professional qualification presenting the author's research and findings. In some countries or universities, the word "thesis" or a cognate is used as part of a bachelor's or master's course. The term thesis is also used to refer to the central claim of an essay or similar work. So, thesis is long piece of writing on a subject, done as part of a university degree.
